Synopsis
The story begins when a group of alleged military members are recruited to dispose of a series of zombie infested people in a medical facility. But when one member finds himself in a strip club, unbeknownst to him, he is infected and infects the main stripper, Kat (Jenna Jameson). Once infected, she slowly turns other strippers into zombies and kills the patrons. Meanwhile the strippers infected are becoming better dancers and the owner of the club (Robert England) is making a lot of money.
Gore Factor
There are a lot of scenes involving exploding heads involving CGI which looks cheap and comical. However, the makeup design for the zombie makeup is descent. There is one scene where the main stripper eats a penis. In another scene. a different stripper rips apart someone’s jaw and separates it from his head. As such, some of the gore scenes are implemented well and others are poorly done.
The Grave Review
I suppose for a title called Zombie Strippers that stars Jenna Jameson, I shouldn’t have expected much. I expected a porn quality film and I was not disappointed.
Jenna Jameson has a segment in the film where she is doing some stripping segment as well as the other girls in the strip club. This last for a period of time and generally throughout the film. The film really picks up when at one point during the film while she is a zombie, she shoots billiards balls out of her vagina. A true masterpiece at work (yes, I am being sarcastic).
To start, the performance of the actors and actresses we’re so poor that it was difficult to watch the film. Every time someone said anything, I had to stop and cringe. This was by far the scariest aspect of the film. In addition, even the non-stripper actresses were over exposed that may have been intended to substitute dialogue with visuals.
Meanwhile, Robert England plays the owner of the strip club. Unfortunately, as much as his presence is always appreciated, it did not make up for the film as a whole.
On a positive note, when the girls transform further into an infested zombie, in combination with the heavy metal music, the film looks like a Rob Zombie or Marilyn Manson music video. Remember when MTV actually played music videos? Exactly.
For the foregoing reasons, Grave Reviews gives Zombie Strippers (2008) one grave out of five graves.
