Synopsis
Twilight Vamps is all about hot female vampires who kill men after having sex with them. The vampires run a strip club where they can target wealthy men. The film follows Jack, who works overtime but was not given a promotion. Instead, the promotion was given to Roger, Jack’s friend and co-worker.
Roger invites Jack to celebrate at the strip club. Jack declines at first as he and his girlfriend, Louise, has other plans. However, Louise re-schedules as she prioritized her affair. In the end, Jack goes with Roger not knowing that they are entering a strip club full of vampires.
Gore Factor
Since Twilight Vamps is more focused on its erotic and comedy genre, there are only glimpses of blood throughout the movie. In fact, the only gore scene is when the Angela, one of the vampires, decided to bite Roger and kill him.
The Grave Review
The title of the movie can immediately catch your attention as you have an idea that you will be watching film of vampires, unless you are not a fan of them. But once you start watching the movie, you will feel as if you are just watching porn. There are more sex scenes than actual dialogues.
The story line is rather simple: Jack does not get his desired promotion and his plan with his girlfriend was rescheduled so he decided to go to the strip club with his friend, Roger. Unfortunately, Angela, one of the vampire strippers, was interested in Roger so she decided to have a special time with him before killing Roger.
Roger’s body was found the next day and the main suspect is Jack since according to the investigator, he was the last person with Roger. The investigator ignored the vampire bites and claimed that the strippers are innocent.
Jack then later finds out that his girlfriend is lesbian, and she decided to leave him. Devastated, he went to Tabitha, the owner of the strip club. Of course, they had sex and since Tabitha liked Jack, she spared his life. The investigator then arrests Jack but he was saved by Angela, one of the vampire strippers. In return, they had sex.
Angela also confessed that she and the rest of the strippers are vampires. So Jack decided to eliminate them using expired holy water. But before he can do that, he was invited by Tabitha and another vampire for a threesome. When the girls are about to bite him, Jack used the holy water and the vampires disappeared.
Based on that, you can easily say that the story does not have character development. The dialogues are mostly about sex and there are a lot of failed jokes, especially the part when the investigator says that Roger is not bitten by vampires when it is obvious. Also, there was a scene when Jack says that the holy water smells like armpits since it is expired.
You will not feel that Jack is really afraid of the vampires. For instance, when he was about to eliminate the hot vampires and he saw the two vampires having sex, instead of grabbing the chance to throw the holy water, he watched them first and even joined them after they invited him.
The film was given a genre of erotic horror but you will not feel scared at all. The vampires do not look threatening and there was no intense background music.
Because of the above reasons, Grave Reviews gives Twilight Vamps (2010) two graves out of five graves.
