*Although Demons Souls is not considered part of the Dark Souls franchise, it is still the first game that Director, Hidetaka Miyazaki and Developers FromSoftware produced for these types of games.

Will there be a Dark Souls 4?
Updated 5.11.20 – Currently, sources have indicated that FromSoftware is not currently working on a Dark Souls 4.
What is the next Souls-type game?

Updated 5.11.20 – Bandai Namco released a cinematic trailer at E3 2019 called Elden Ring which is directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki and developed by FromSoftware. The game is also being directed by fantasy novelist, George R.R. Martin. Sources indicate the current target release date for this game is June 30, 2020. However, with so much going on taking into account COVID and the normal progression of a detailed game such as this, the release date may be pushed back.
What we know of Elden Ring is that the gameplay and style will be similar to the other Soul’s series. You will be able to customize your character as you were able to in the other games. It is also safe to say that if this game is to be a successor of the Soul’s series, the combat and gameplay system will be difficult and challenging as was in the past.
