Synopsis
Whenever a gang member or mob needs a body disposed of, they drop the dead body off at a butchers farm house for the butcher to dispose of. One day, the butcher who lives with his daughter is tasked with disposing of three bodies. However while in the process of doing so, the butcher realizes that one of female “corpses” is still alive. Unsure of what to do, the butcher ties up the woman with uncertainty.
Gore Factor
As someone who chops people up, the butcher in the film portrays various body parts and severed limbs as he disposes of the bodies. However, from an overall perspective, the film has little gore that is notable.
The Grave Review
I’ll take your Dead (2018) is best described as a combination between the Sixth Sense and Gerald’s Game. The story line, although not original, was well done and overall entertaining.
The story did not incorporate much character development. In addition, there was little back story, specifically why the female woman was ordered to be killed. The little girl who sees visions of dead people also had no explanation. In this respect, the film could have provided a little more character development to add to the overall plot.
I’ll take your Dead (2018) was well paced and had a nice flow to it. There was no period of time during the film that felt boring. However as stated above, the film could have built up the story a little bit.
The actors and actresses did a good job at their respective roles. Furthermore, the dialogue was also fitting to the characters and believable. But there were not any scenes in the film that were particularly memorable. Nevertheless, the film was entertaining and well-done.
For the foregoing reasons, Grave Reviews gives I’ll take your Dead (2018) three and one-half graves out of five graves.
