With the holidays right around the corner, the thought of Christmas shopping and gift exchanging can become a little overwhelming. Especially if you’re burdened with the task of having to get a gift for your horror-loving, gore obsessed significant other. Not being much into the macabre yourself, this task might seem incredibly daunting and practically impossible. Where to start? What to buy? Well fret no more, continue reading and learn about where to get some of the most unique horror-related items that will get that special someone jumping for joy. Here are some Last Minute Horror Christmas Gifts 2018.
MURDERABILIA
Firstly, when Christmas shopping for a horror enthusiast, one word that now should become part of your regular vocabulary is the term “murderabilia.” Murderabilia is a term used to describe collectibles that were either owned, used or created by some of the most heinous and infamous serial killers. Some of these items include handwritten letters, signed photographs, articles of clothing or art works personally created by the killers.
Supernaught
One well-known website is called supernaught.com. On supernaught.com you can find a plethora of various items ranging from several different killers. If your significant other is a fan of Stephen King’s “It,” or clown related horror in general, why not kick it up a notch with an authentic oil painting of Pogo the clown, painted by John Wayne Gacy himself. If you aren’t familiar with this man, Gacy, also known as Pogo the Clown, was convicted of killing 33 young men and storing their bodies in his basement. As a part time job, Gacy would dress up as a clown and entertain at children’s parties. During his lengthy prison stay, Gacy picked up painting as a pastime. For $6,000, this painting can be hanging over your fireplace. What a steal, right!? What better way to start off the holiday season than with this cheerful clown’s grin? Now while this example is quite pricey and out of the average spender’s price-range, the site does offer more economical items.
Murderauction
Another similar website worth browsing is called murderauction.com. Similar to the previously mentioned website, murderauction offers a wide range of items. One difference to be noted is that this site allows browsers and potential buyers to view the seller’s personal feedback and history. This system is based on positive and negative feedback from clients. Although the authenticity of some of these items can never truly be proven, this method of buyer/seller feedback should put your mind slightly more at ease.
HORROR BOX SETS
If murderabilia is a little too morbid for your tastes, then why not go for a classic gift that will be sure to please your lunatic lover. If there is one thing any horror enthusiast loves, it’s horror movies. A simple box set of their favorite flicks will be sure to satiate any horror fan’s appetite!
