The news is in! The new Halloween movie has been announced and marks the 11th movie in the series. The infamous, Michael Myers will take the big screen as the creepy villain once again for a final showdown. What makes this movie so anticipated is that the 2018 Halloween stars Jamie Lee Curtis. Jamie Lee Curtis, who has historically been the main protagonist in the series, will be returning to the film. It should be noted that these films were remade by Rob Zombie. However, Curtis has not appeared in this series since the release of Halloween: Resurrection in 2002.
Further, the official trailer has since been released. From what we can see, Curtis has since become an incredibly strong and resilient woman. The anticipation of this showdown is certainly building in excitement. Check out the official trailer below:
Film History
Halloween has had a successful history for the last forty years. Moreover, here is a history of the films that have been released to date:
Halloween II (2009)
Halloween (2007) Halloween: Resurrection (2002) Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995)
|
Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989)
Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988) Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) Halloween II (1981) Halloween (1978)
|
In addition, Nick Castle will once again be playing Michael Myers. Nick Castle was the masked version of Michael Myers in the original 1978 Halloween. Personally, it is nice to see the original cast return to this film. Further, having more acting experience from their original debut 40 years ago, the actors are sure to deliver an outstanding performance. Lastly, as a fan of Halloween, I am excited to see the final showdown.
When will it be released?
Halloween is expected to be released on October 19, 2018 in theaters country-wide.
