Manson spent his days at various state prisons including the California State Prison located in Corcoran, California. He was reported to have died from natural causes.
Prior to his death, Manson had conducted many interviews with reporters. There have even been documentaries about his life. One reporter concluded that his actions were an act of “frustration” with society.
