Six Flags Fright Fest is back for 2017 starting September 16th to October 31st located in Jackson, New Jersey. However, there will only be select days between these dates:
September: 16-17,21-24,29-30 Oct 1, 6-9, 13-15, 20-22, 27-31
Hours will vary either from 11 am – midnight; 5:30 pm to midnight or 11 am to 10 pm. Before making plans, I would check the times so you’re not going on a day when the event is not happening.
Anyone who has previously visited Fright Fest in past years knows that you’re not safe anywhere in the park and scares are not just confined to rides, attractions or events. This makes for a very fun and horrifying experience.
This year, there are several attractions within the park including live performances, haunted walks and mazes.
Some interesting attractions include the Wicked Woods, Total Darkness and Big Top Terror: Forgotten Carnival in 3D. Wicked Wood is a haunted walk in the woods as the name would describe. In Total Darkness, you must navigate a maze where you have to make your way through it in complete darkness not knowing what is around you. Big Top Terror is also a maze filled with creepy clowns and carnival-like depictions.
There is also an attraction called Cell Block 6, which takes place in a prison. It is unclear whether this is an escape room or not, but if it is, I think that would be pretty fun, trying to escape the jail cell.
Further, if you are tired of walking and being on edge, there are some live attractions including but not limited to The Awakening, which is a parade and show, and Deadman’s Party Graveyard Rock which is a song and dance production.
On top of the regular rides that Six Flags offers, this will certainly be a lot of fun and plenty to do for you, your friends and your family.
A Daily Admission ticket as of this posting costs $56.99 and a Season Pass for the rest of 2017 and 2018 is $72.99. In addition, if you are visiting the park in a group of 15 or more, the price of an individual ticket will be $38.99. These tickets will give you access to the park itself and the rides. However, these tickets do not give you access to some of the haunted attractions. To date, the haunted maze attractions did not list a price, but indicated “coming soon” as not being available yet. It is clear that you will have to pay an additional fee to access some or possibly all of the haunted mazes.

Keep in mind that you can get a discount with a coca-cola can on your six-flags admission ticket. It probably will not apply to your haunted maze pass, but it will towards your general admission ticket.
