The Grave Review
The best way to describe this film is lots of boobs, lots of bees and very little in the way of story. Special Agent Agar is sent to a small town to investigate a string of murders which is only happening to men. Allegedly, the men are dying from sexual exhaustion. These women turn out to be the work and result of scientist, Anita Ford. Her experimentation mutating bee and human DNA are transforming women into sex-crazed people. The scientific portion of the film is an interesting point of discussion. But, unfortunately the remainder of the film lacks much in the way of interest.
Invasion of the Bee Girls is yet another 1970s sexploitation film that displays beautiful, naked women in virtually every other scene. That may certainly be the highlight of the film for most people interested in women. I am sure that if given the choice, no one would be unhappy to die from sexual exhaustion. That is quite a way to go. I am positive the gravestone would say something like “happy to the last second.”
Besides the women, the story is somewhat of a bore. The acting is not engaging and the dialogue is not very interesting. The most interesting scene in this film was when one woman gets covered with bees as she becomes this sex-driven woman. Other than that scene, there is nothing else that is particularly notable.
Overall, if you are a fan of exploitation films or soft porn for that matter, you may like this film. For those who want to just laugh at something, you may also want to check this one out. Otherwise, for everyone else, you are not missing much.
For the foregoing reasons, Grave Reviews gives Invasion of the Bee Girls one and a half graves out of five graves.
